Our skin analysis tool asks for camera access to scan your skin. Every photo and every result stays on your device. Nothing is uploaded to our servers. We do not store or see your images.
We do track basic usage, like how many free analyses you have used. This only counts uses. It never includes your photos or your results.
We collect basic site data such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited and time spent on the site. This helps us understand how people use basic.skin and how to improve it. The optional Lara follow-up form separately collects the details you choose to submit, as described below.
Lara is a guided helper that runs in your browser from a curated, pre-written skin-care knowledge library. It does not use a generative AI service. Chat messages and text already visible in your on-screen report are processed in your browser; the chat does not send or save them. Your camera photo is not read or uploaded by Lara.
If you choose the separate follow-up form, your name and email are required. City, country, skin type, concerns, product interests, budget and a short note are optional. When you check the consent box and submit, these details are sent to basic.skin, stored for the team to respond, and emailed to hello@basic.skin. You can skip the form. Please do not submit photos, identity documents, medical records or details you do not want to share. To request a correction or deletion, email hello@basic.skin.
